To get you started on your career in the international import/export business, we've put together a short tutorial.

Download/Install

First, download a copy of the game for your device. You should copy the file to your phone via cable or bluetooth from your PC.

Open the file on your phone, and you should be prompted to install the game. Select yes to all questions you are asked. That is, if you trust us!



Run the game

Once in the game, use the cursor keys up/down to select options and the "fire" or select button to "click".

If this is the first time you have run the game, you will be asked to register. To do this, just choose and type a nickname (letters and numbers only please, no spaces!) and provide your email address. Your email address will only be used to send game materials and never spam.

Next time you play the game, it should remember your details and you won't need to register again. However, sometimes the phone can forget - in this case there is no need to register again! Just click the "already registered" button and it will reload your details automatically.

Data Permissions

Blowtooth needs to use the internet to communicate with the server. Your phone will ask permission for Blowtooth to access the network. You must say "yes" to this otherwise you will not be able to play.

Remember, Blowtooth uses your internet connection, so if you don't have free internet you will be charged by your provider for access. In our experience you can play Blowtooth for half an hour and only spend a few pence, but your provider may charge more. Be careful when abroad, your provider may charge you a fortune to access the internet!

Choose GPS

Blowtooth needs to find out your location - It can connect to external GPS devices to get your current location automatically. If you have one of these, select "Scan for GPS", otherwise choose "Skip"



Enter Location

If you don't have a GPS unit, you can type your location manually into this box instead, and we will figure out where you are. Note that the database is a bit USA-centric, so if you enter a location like "Lincoln" or "Boston", where there is also a place in the USA with this name, it will think you are in the US! Be more specific to make sure it gets the right location

Click "Save Location" when you are done



Scan for Patsies

Blowtooth will now use your phone's bluetooth scanner to check your current location for nearby phones and other devices. Since we presume each phone is held by another person, each device found is stored as a "patsy" who you will be able to drop packages onto.

Once it has found some patsies, Blowtooth will use the internet to contact the server to find out if they are carrying any packages left by other smugglers.



Drop a Package

If none of the nearby patsies are carrying any packages, you can drop a new package. You are free to drop as many packages you want and as often as you like - there is no limit, or cost.

Just select to drop a new package.

You will then be prompted to select what kind of package you want to drop. The possible options are shown on the screen. Note that the more you play Blowtooth, the more different types of packages will be available for you to drop!



Find a Package

If a patsy is found to be holding a package left by a smuggler, you will be able to pick it up and collect the rewards! Just select "collect" to pick up the stash. You can pick up packages off many patsies all in one go.

Then, click "Scan" again to check the local area for more patsies!

What Then?

As you play Blowtooth, you will accumulate awards for various achievements in the game. Keep checking on this website, and your profile page "http://www.blowtooth.com/player/YOUR_NICKNAME". Your profile is automatically created when you start playing, and is kept up to date with all of your exploits.

Playing in Airports

Blowtooth works particularly well in international airports, and is a great way to spend your time while waiting for a flight. Simply drop packages off on fellow passengers while at check in, then your challenge is to find them again in the departure lounge! It is harder than you might think!
